The Red Rock School District is served by a three-member board. The Red Rock Elementary School District Board of Education operates under a policy governance model. The governing board emphasizes a commitment to community input and to ensure appropriate organizational performances that addresses the expectations of student achievement.

Courtesy Post/Public Notice

Pursuant to A.R.S. 38-431.02, a courtesy notice is hereby given to the members of Red Rock School District Governing Board members and to the general public that it is possible that a majority, if not all, of the board members, may attend the events listed below:

  • ASBA Sponsored Events
  • District Athletics Events
  • Graduation Ceremonies
  • School Events

Notice is hereby given to members of the Red Rock School District Governing Board and to the general public that a majority of the Red Rock School District Governing Board members may attend the events listed above. However, no board business will be discussed and no voting action will be taken.

    Board Meeting Update

    The Arizona Department of Education has developed a new A–F School Accountability Letter Grade System. As a Performing Plus school, the letter grade for Red Rock is a B. If you would like more information about the determination factors for the grades, please refer to the ADE website.

    Meeting Locations

    Both regular and special meetings of the governing board are open to the public.  Regular meetings are generally on the third Wednesday of each month at 5:00 p.m. at:

    Regular Meeting

    A meeting that takes place in public that follows the normal schedule.

    Special Meeting

    A meeting that takes place in public that is added to the regular schedule for a specific purpose.

    Study Session

    A meeting that takes place in public for the purpose of studying one or more specified issues in depth. A highly structured exchange of ideas, suggestions, and concerns. No action is taken.

    Executive Session

    A meeting that takes place for discussion of confidential matters which may include personnel, legal items, student appeals, disciplinary matters, and others as outlined in Arizona Revised Statutes 38-431.03. Executive sessions are closed to the public. All action on items discussed in executive sessions, with the exception of student appeals and student disciplinary action, are taken during the regular or special meetings which are open to the public.

    Board agendas are available to be picked up at Red Rock Elementary administration office at least twenty-four hours in advance of the meeting.

    Meeting Protocol

    To Speak To Items Not On The Agenda

    • This may occur only during remarks from the public.
    • Complete the "request to address board" form.
    • The presiding officer will recognize your request to speak to an item.
    • State your name, address, and the organization you represent, if any.
    • Individuals are encouraged to be brief, with a maximum time limit of three minutes.
    • Arizona law prevents board members from discussing or acting on items not on the agenda. If action is desired, the subject should be placed on the agenda in the manner described in the next section.
