Benefits of Drinking Water
According to Mealtime Memo, drinking water is not only healthy – it has zero calories and no added sugar – but also economical. Drinking enough water each day is crucial for the following reasons:
- Regulates body temperature
- Helps with weight maintenance
- Helps with blood circulation
- Prevents infections, dehydration, constipation, and tooth decay
- Delivers nutrients to cells and keeps organs functioning properly
- Improves sleep quality, memory, attention, and mood
Gardening & Farming: Growing Together
Our school garden is bursting with life! Want to help? Contact Cathy Boyer via email for ways to volunteer. At home, try planting seeds in a small pot—herbs like basil and mint grow well on windowsills!
Physical Activity: Move & Groove
Staying active is fun and important! Try the “Jump Rope Challenge”—how many jumps can you do in one minute? Remember, even a walk with your family or a dance party in your living room counts as exercise. Share your favorite ways to move with us!
Community Outreach: Helping Hands
Sometime during the second quarter we plan to hold a collection of canned and non-perishable food items that will support a local organization. Keep an eye out for dates on that and further information. Thank you in advance for supporting our community!
