Mr. Klell and Mr. Roseberry are our Science Olympiad coaches. Over the past three years, they have assisted in leading Red Rock Elementary School to victory in several events as we participated with other county schools in the area of science.

In an effort to integrate the "gifted" program in all classrooms through science, Mr. Klell and Mr. Roseberry have been working with classroom teachers to provide intellectually accessible science curriculum to all students. The targeted goals for the science and math materials allows students to be involved through extended thinking, applied thinking, and conceptual thinking. These challenging ideas treat knowledge as tentative and open-ended and provide conceptual depth that allows for verbal and scientific connections.

  • Scientific Measurement of Powders - Physical science focuses on science facts, concepts, principles, theories and models that are important for all students to know, understand and use
• 3rd Grade:
  • Charting and Measurement with Plants
